About
Janitell economics simulation — version ?.
A live classroom economics game: students run corporations, trade their shares on an exchange, and sell products in the "Jag Mart" store.
How it works
- Markets are class cohorts/terms; each has its own corporations and investors.
- Jag Bucks (JB) are the native currency — investor balances, share prices, deposits, costs, and loans are all in JB.
- Dollars enter only through the Cashier (cash product sales) into a corporation, and convert to JB only via a manager's Currency Trade.
- Executives run a corporation: issue stock to its treasury, offer shares for sale, and manage products.
- Investors buy and sell shares on the Trading Desk; a share's value is its volume-weighted average price (VWAP).
- The Bank (managers) deposits, loans, and costs JB, and every money movement is recorded in the account ledger.
